Courtyard Roseville: A Perfect Base for Exploring the Twin Cities

“Perfectly positioned” is the term Roseville Visitors Association uses to describe its city and I have to say, I agree! What do I always say when booking hotels?

Location. Location. Location.

Who likes to waste time driving around from attraction to attraction especially when limited on time? And that ALWAYS seems to be the case no matter what trip we are on because there is always something new to see, eat, drink, or explore.

Here’s why the Courtyard by Marriott in Roseville is the perfect base for exploring the Twin Cities of St. Paul and Minneapolis.

Close Proximity to Major Attractions

If you drew a line from St. Paul to Roseville to Minneapolis back to St. Paul, you’d find yourself with an irregular-but-close-enough triangle. Roseville is the tip of the triangle; it is north of both cities but right in between the two of them.

On this occasion, I am here in Minnesota on a familiarization tour turned girlfriend getaway weekend. The first thing my friend and I notice is the lack of time we had to spend on the bus getting transported to and from our destinations which allowed us more time to get acquainted with the area.

The Courtyard Roseville is located minutes from the Minnesota State Fair, one of the largest in the United States. We took the free public shuttle to one of Courtyard’s pickup locations so we didn’t have to drive. It was a smooth and stress-free solution for our first experience visiting the fair.

Contemporary yet Cozy

The lobby area is home to a café, dining room, business center, lounge, and a 24-hour Market with snacks and convenience items. Sometimes contemporary design can come off a little sterile, but not at the Courtyard Roseville. The bar and lounge area is modern but welcoming, a perfect spot to unwind with a cocktail after a long day.

Comfortable Rooms

It’s always a plus when you get back to your room after a long day and have a comfortable bed to fall into. And that’s EXACTLY what we did after our busy days visiting the attractions in the area. We were happy to find the guestrooms are nicely decorated with quality beds and plush linens.

The bathroom layout is perfect for a stay with more than one person. The toilet and shower are separate from the sink and mirror so the two of us were able to quickly get ready in the mornings.

The Awesome Outdoor Patio

Unfortunately, it rained most of the weekend we were in Roseville, so we weren’t able to use the outdoor patio. We are definitely going to take advantage of it next visit! What a relaxing vibe with wicker furniture, umbrellas, a gazebo and the sound of trickling water from the stream and fountain.

Amenities including Free Parking

Last but not least, the Courtyard Roseville has many wonderful amenities. Sometimes travelers overlook the additional high cost of parking in cities, it can add an additional $20 to $30 to the hotel stay. Not at Courtyard Roseville, free parking is available for guests.

The hotel also offers free high-speed internet, an indoor pool and hot tub, and a small fitness room. We had big plans to at least use the fitness room every morning, but we took the opportunity to sleep in instead. We decided we were getting enough steps in anyways, checking out all the cool places in the Twin Cities!
