Photo Tour: Chihuly Garden and Glass, Seattle

Chihuly Garden and Glass was one of our favorite attractions in Seattle, Washington. It is an exhibit that is home to spectacular glass sculptures that stimulate your visual senses. We were blown away by Dale Chihuly’s creative artisan craftsmanship.

Who is Dale Chihuly?

When we were researching things to do in the city, we came across the Chihuly name. He is an American glass sculptor whose work is celebrated around the world. We didn’t remember hearing his name before, but thought his glass installations looked familiar. It wasn’t until our visit, that we realized we had seen his work at various other places: Milwaukee Art Museum, Chicago Garfield Park Conservatory, Missouri Botanical Garden and Las Vegas Bellagio Hotel and Casino.
The man is a sculpture mastermind! How did we not remember his name?  Well, we won’t ever forget it after visiting Chihuly Garden and Glass.

Chihuly Garden and Glass – The Details

Spend a day roaming through Seattle Center, a 74-acre park, arts, and entertainment center originally built for the 1962 World’s Fair. Combine a tour of the Chihuly Garden and Glass with any of the attractions there. It is located next to the Space Needle and combo tickets can be purchased at a discount for both. We thought the price of admission was a little high, but in the end thought it was worth it.

Permanent Exhibits All Over

Have you ever seen any of his work? If so, where?

That is so beautiful. I’ve been to the space needle twice (the food is amazing) but never got a chance to see the art. The next time I’m in Seattle I’m def going to check it out. Beautiful photos! Jill

Thanks Sarah, appreciate it! Can’t wait to get back. Looks like you went to the EMP too which we didn’t do.
