Being one of the most popular apps worldwide, Instagram is extremely influential when it comes to our choices of restaurants, events, and cities we would like to visit. It is full of stunning landscapes and magnificent places that inspire all of us to pack our bags and start a new adventure. Here are five of Australia’s Instagram-worthy places, so check them out and be sure that no filters will be needed.

Sydney Opera House, Sydney

Being one of the most Instagrammed places in Australia, Sydney Opera House is definitely not to be missed while visiting in Sydney. This breathtaking building was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site in 2007 for a good reason. It hosts over 3,000 events every year, which makes it an unavoidable part of every trip to this marvellous city. Here is a fun fact: there are 1,056,006 roof tiles that sit all over the structure, which is a very astonishing number in itself. Sydney Opera House is definitely a true symbol of Australia that is recognised worldwide.

Kimberley Coast, Western Australia

This part of the country, located in the North West, is considered to be one of the most stunning natural wonders on this part of the world. It features the world’s largest inshore reef as its central part, which makes a whole together with beautiful mangrove forests and diverse wildlife. Visitors love Kimberley Coast because of its gorgeous waterways and rugged gorges, as well as because of the unique opportunity to ride a camel in Broome. The remote Dampier Peninsula’s white sands and clear waters will take your breath away, which is exactly why this place is one of the most Instagram-worthy in Australia.

Long Reef Beach, Sydney

This beautiful beach, which is long for almost two kilometres, is very popular with both the locals and tourists all over the world. The reason is simple: it offers perfect conditions for riding the waves. It is located at the northern end of Dee Why Beach, and it’s particularly appropriate for people who enjoy the simplicity of nature. It offers the most charming scenery, which is ideal for beach weddings. Many couples are choosing exactly this place to start their new life as newlyweds.

Kangaroo Island, South Australia

This island’s abundant wildlife is just one of the beautiful features, however, it is probably the most famous for its water-beaten Remarkable Rocks. Visit them at sunrise or sunset for the most impressive scenery, which was shaped by rain, wind, and pounding waves. Besides that, more than a third of the island is dedicated to national parks, where visitors can see many native animals such as brushtail possum and southern brown bandicoot. This place is a true heaven for all the Instagrammers out there.

The Queen Victoria Building, Sydney

This outstanding building which was completed in 1898 as a monument to the long-reigning monarch, today represents a luxurious shopping complex that is located in the business quarters. It fills an entire city block, and its centre dome is a dominant feature of this glorious building. Its stained glass windows and splendid architecture are indeed inspiring, especially when we take into consideration the fact that the original 19th century staircase still sits alongside the dome. The Queen Victoria Building is definitely one of the most Instagrammed locations in Australia for a good reason.

All of these are beyond gorgeous, but – which one is your favourite?

You know, Australia has never really struck as as one of those ‘must see’ countries. But these photos are incredible, especially Kimberley Coast, so I may have to have a rethink!

Agree that Australia is a very photogenic destination. There are almost too many places to choose from, and some very fine locations have been picked in this post 🙂 I would also add Kakadu National Park to this list…but that’s just me.

I know! 😀 Kakadu is definitely high on the priority list 🙂

Maybe I’ll include it in the volume 2 of the article 😉
Also – Uluru is amazing, but I know many people already know about it, so it didn’t make the cut 😀
