20 Ireland Photos That Will Leave You Breathless

posted in: Europe, Ireland, Travel | 15

Have you ever visited a place that resonated with your soul?  Even though you were a visitor you felt right at home. You couldn’t pinpoint the exact reason, but everything about that place felt right.

That place for us is Ireland; her beauty and charm is overwhelming. Wandering through the small colorful towns, driving down the narrow roads, exploring the beautiful castles, and roaming through impressive gardens made it one of our favorite trips.

We visited the Emerald Isle in the month of September and were greeted with rainbows and wildflowers. It is a magical place with dramatic cliffs, romantic castles, and rolling hills with more shades of green than I ever knew existed. We discovered stunning scenes of gorgeous landscapes and breathtaking views.

Our affinity toward the country does not stop at her natural beauty, it is an obsession with her people as well. The warmth and welcoming attitude offered to us made us fall in love that much faster. We did not want to leave!

Let us inspire your wanderlust with these Ireland photos:

I was in Ireland a few years ago and thoroughly loved the laid back, non-busy atmosphere of this beautiful country. Getting around by car was super easy as there was very little traffic in the majority of our travels in this relaxing windswept place. For a country/island that is fairly small, there was a whole lot of variety in both terrain and sights to see during our 2+ week visit.

We thought the driving was easy too! Well Dave did, I would have killed us the first day if I was driving. We can’t wait to visit again and slow travel the area. Glad you enjoyed your time as well.

I feel the same way about Ireland. It’s such a magical place, and your pictures really managed to capture that charm.

Thanks Nikita! Ireland definitely has a magical side. We loved driving around the island and exploring. Do you have any posts on your adventures there?

WOW, Ireland has always been so high on my list, these photos pushes it even further! What camera did you guys use? The pictures are stunning! 🙂

Thanks Lisa! We used a simple Canon point & shoot. We don’t have it anymore, actually in the process of looking for a new camera.

Wonderful pictures guys which only begin to give a taster of this amazing island.

I have strong personal connections to Ireland since my parents come from Dublin. So I would often holiday in Ireland as a child, sometimes 2-3 times a year.

As I’ve grown older holidays have ventured much further around the Emerald Isle. I hope lots of fond memories of Cork, Donegal, Galway and driving the amazing Ring of Kerry.

I hope that you make it back there soon. There is always part of my heart in Ireland.

Thank you so much! We absolutely agree that it is just a taste of what Ireland has to offer. We struggled choosing only 20 photos! We didn’t make it to Cork, but hope to next time. We can’t wait to go back and explore some more. We read about a hike in SW Ireland that we might research. Who knows, we’ll see. Our list of places to see is growing by the second. Thanks for reading!
